Lavender Syrup Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons dried culinary lavender
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a small saucepan, combine the water, sugar, and dried lavender.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally to dissolve the sugar.
  3. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 10 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and let the syrup cool completely.
  5. Strain the syrup through a fine-mesh sieve into a clean container to remove the lavender flowers.
  6. Stir in the vanilla extract (if using).
  7. Store the syrup in the refrigerator in a sealed container for up to two weeks.

Lavender Iced Latte

Ingredients:

  • 1-2 shots of espresso (or ½ cup strong brewed coffee)
  • Lavender syrup
  • Ice
  • Milk of choice (whole, almond, oat, etc.)
  • Fresh lavender sprig for garnish (optional)

  1. Brew 1-2 shots of espresso using an espresso machine or make ½ cup of strong brewed coffee.
  2. Fill a glass with ice.
  3. Pour the espresso over the ice.
  4. Add 2-4 tablespoons of lavender syrup, adjusting to taste.
  5. Stir well to combine.
  6. Fill the rest of the glass with your preferred milk.
  7. Garnish with a fresh lavender sprig (optional).
